"I just wanted to send a quick tip of the helmet to Valley Custom Motorcycles. Sunday August 8th, on day one of a multi-day ride from Victoria to Jasper and back, my FJR1300 developed an unexpected coolant leak about 40k from Kamloops. I was staying at a friends there and limped the bike into my friend’s place. Being a Sunday and with most bike shops closed Monday, I thought this was going to be a major pain. My first stroke of luck was that Valley Custom was open Mondays, my second was they worked on all makes, and my third was that I told (them) I was on a tour and he said bring it right in! Didn’t catch the name of the mechanic who worked on my bike but he had lots of experience with Yamahas (my fourth lucky stroke). Anyways, they eventually found that the coolant reservoir had a pretty significant crack in it, but they applied a plastic weld and had me out early Tuesday morning! I can’t say enough about the level of service these guys all provided, and just wanted to let all fellow riders know that Valley Custom is a superior bike shop that went that extra kilometer!"
